Exmouth Town and Budleigh both win in South Devon

It was a case of East Devon football dominance over South Devon as both Exmouth Town and Budleigh won their respective games on the final Saturday of September.

Exmouth Town’s marvellous start to the new season continued as they banked three more South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division points with a 4-3 win at Stoke Gabriel.

The victory leaves Town in third spot in the table.

They sit four points behind leaders Newton Abbot Spurs and two shy of second placed Teignmouth Town and have two games in hand on both those teams!

It was also an excellent day for Budleigh asd they put an end to a run of four straight defeats with a splendid 5-3 triumph at Galmpton.

The Eastern Division results on September 30 were: Appledore 3:2 Totnes and Dartington; Exeter Civil Service 2:2 University; Galmpton 3:5 BUDLEIGH: Okehampton Town 0:0 Axminster Town; Plymstock 0:2 Alphington; Sidmouth Town 0:1 Newton Abbot Spurs, Stoke Gabriel 3:4 EXMOUTH TOWN and Teignmouth Town 1:3 Crediton United.
