Clinton 2, Exiles 4

Exiles came out on top after a well contested local derby at the Archery club.

Exiles took the lead courtesy of an own goal, but Clinton levelled ten minutes later.

Gareth Davies then restored the Exiles lead only for Clinton to again level just before the break to send the sides into half time locked at 2-2.

A couple of tactical changes shortly after the re-start paid dividends for Exiles.

Leigh Clarke was introduced from the bench and he quickly made his presence felt in then middle third of the pitch.

It was Clarke who gave Exiles the lead for the third time in the game, knocking the bal, home after a superb cross from Kevin Pitt.

The points were sealed when Gareth Davies headed his second and his side’s fourth to seal victory.

Two goal Davies was named Man of the Match.
