Starcross Royals 5, Exiles 2

Exiles took a much-depleted side owing to injuries and work commitments and returned with nothing for their efforts.

With only a dozen members of then squad available the team had a very different look to the one that had netted nine goals in the previous game!

The Royals scored first after 10 minutes, but a Gareth Davies bullet-like shot from 20-yards restored parity.

The home side quickly regained their lead and extended it before a Marty Robertson goal five minutes before the break, sent Exiles in just 3-2 down.

The second half was end-to-end, but it was the home side who fashioned two further goals to claim the points.

This Sunday Exiles travel to Parkbus Cullompton.
