East Budleigh hit for nine by impressive Elmore

10:45 13 March 2014

East Budleigh will want to move on quickly from last Saturday’s defeat at Tiverton side Elmore where the hosts ran riot on a day when everything went for them, writes Mark Auton.

Despite the score Budleigh matched their illustrious opponents in the opening exchanges but a spell of five goals in seven first half minutes saw the home side take full control as every ball into the box seemed to lead to a goal.

A deficit of seven at the interval left Budleigh shell shocked.

The second half saw Budleigh come out with a more fight; Mike White and Josh Whiller ran their hearts out, but were unable to prevent a further two goals for the home side.

This Saturday Budleigh will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Exmouth Amateurs in a local derby at Vicarage Road.
