Exmouth Amateurs landed their first Fresha League to flight win of the season with a 5-2 triumph at Budleigh Salterton Reserves, writes Ross England.

It was a fruitful day for both Ammies teams as the Reserves also won a derby encounter, beating Exmouth Town Reserves.

At Greenway Lane, Ammies fell behind to Budleigh, but were clearly in no mood to be denied their firs success of the league campaign and took control.

Mitchell Cudd netted twice and there were other goals from Craig Higham, Leigh Begam and Matt Cousins.

Back at Warreniew, Ammies Reserves took the lead in the third minute with a Morgan Johnson header. Robbie Lambert scored ten minutes later and Ammies were in complete control and added two further goals in the second half from Lambert again and Danny Hall, to complete a comprehensive victory.

This Saturday Ammies 1st team entertain Morchard Bishop in a Fresha League game whilst the Reserves go to Exeter to meet Heavitree Social United.
