Budleigh Salterton ladies net five to go level at the top of the table

Groundsman Andy Allett produced a perfect playing surface at Greenway Lane, and was thanked for his efforts by Budleigh Salterton Ladies who served up a five goal walloping to Barnstaple ladies to take the Robinettes level on points with Division One leaders Activate with a game in hand, writes SpursTom.

Both keepers were brought into action very early on with the visitor’s the busier. On 16 minutes Celine White’s goal poaching instinct saw her poke home a Haylee Pannell pass.

She lost out moments later in a one on one situation, but soon got her revenge by increasing the lead.

It was 3-0 by half-time thanks to a Molly Jacobs goal.

Barum came out after the break showing more determination, winning more tackles, but without the fire power to find the target.

Having weathered the storm the Robinettes punished their opponents with a brace of goals in a two minute spell.

Jacobs got her second before Abby Yukon capped her usual powerhouse display with a well-flighted free kick into the top right hand corner to complete the scoring.

The home clean sheet was certainly aided by a solid performance from Kallie Horner in the centre of defence.
