Budleigh announce start date for pre-season training

Budleigh Salterton has announced the start date for a new pre-season as the club prepares to once again engage in campaigns in the South West Peninsula League Eastern Division and the Macron Devon and Exeter league.

The first session will on Thursday, June 22, with a 7pm start at the Robins’ Greenway Lane home.

Budleigh secretary Richard Tapp says: “We would love to see all old and new players who will be made very welcome to all training sessions which will be every Tuesday and Thursday from June 22 through until the season begins.”

He continued: “We are proud to announce we will have a new manager in charge of the Reserves with Alan Barnsley, who worked so well with our successful Under-16s, taking over from Graham Tapp.

“We are very grateful to Graham (Tapp) who worked wonders last season keeping the senior’s second team together.”

“Alan will be looking to attract new players as well and asks anyone interested in joining the club to get in touch with him.”
