Brixington Blues 6, Hemyock 2
Brixington Blues Under-11s powered into the next round of the Exeter and District Youth League KO Cup with a powerful second half show.
In the first half Blues, playing uphill, took the lead through Jake Yarwood. The Mid Devon side were not behind for long and they had a gilt-edged chance to take the lead.
However, just before half-time a neat finish from Yarwood to double his tally, sent Blues in with a narrow advantage.
After the break, playing downhill, the Blues took control and showed how clinical they can be with their finishing as they scored four times through Ollie Holmes, Lucas Feduzi, Joseph Evans and Josh Hocking.
Hemyock kept battling away and they had the last word with the games’ eighth and Blues were good value for the win as they were always looking to play good passing football, but for all round industry Ben Bolwell, playing everywhere, took the eye.
