Archant

Earlier this season Brixington Blues hard-working chairman Richard Taylor was trying everything possible to attract someone to take on one the Under-8s age group at the club.

The Journal helped the Blues cause with articles about a lack of players and a coach to look after them.

Happily all that has now been sorted and not only do the team have sufficient players and a coach, but they also sport a smart new kit thanks to a generous sponsorship from Kate Beverley, the proprietor of both The Bank and Number 9 in the Town.

The team are managed by Dave Haggerty who plays for Exmouth Town and he is assisted by Wayne Rowsell who is currently playing for Woodbury.

Both have sons in the team as does the kit sponsor Kate Beverley.
