Archant

Brixington Blues Under-10 sporting their new kit sponsored by Stanley Tools, kicked off the season at home to Broadclyst, writes Alan Diprose.

The first half was a sparkling affair of crisp passing and flowing football with the only thing lacking being a goal!

At the start of the second half the visitor’s opened the scoring with a header. Shortly after they were then awarded a penalty but were unable to find then back of the net.

Blues kept playing their football, and, with five minutes remaining last season’s top scorer Will White crashed the ball home to level the scores.

With time running out Blues secured the win when Sam Diprose stabbed the ball home following a goal mouth melee.
