Archant

Exmouth Amateurs Under-11s travelled to Beacon Knights where they claimed victory thanks to an astute substitution.

The Exeter side started well, but a double change that saw Max Handford and Lewis Cockayne introduced to the game, changed things dramatically.

Two minutes after joining the action Handford combined with Ammies skipper Harry Wright to set up Cockayne to fire the opening goal.

After the break Cockayne struck a second with a low drive before Handford rifled a shot home from the edge of the area. Wright completed the scoring.

The win lifts Ammies to the top of the fledgling league table.
