Ammies Under-11s had their perfect start to the Exeter and District Youth League season unceremoniously ended by the Mid Devon side.

The two teams went into the game with very different records.

Ammies had won all their games, whilst the Knights had yet to register a single point!

It looked ominous for the visitors when Ammies went a goal up through Callum O’Neil, but a nap hand haul of goals against them saw Ammies go into the break 5-1 down.

When Harry Wright reduced the arrears early in the second half it seemed as if a comeback might be on, and hope grew stronger when James Oldbury made it 5-3.

However, that was as good as it got for the Ammies with Newton Knights scoring the games final three goals to run out emphatic winners.

Cameron Bennett was named the Ammies Man of the Match.
