Exmouth United Under-9s continued their fine season to date with victories over Copplestone and West Exe.
First up against Copplestone the opposition defended very well, but a quality strike from Kuba Strzalkowska finally broke the deadlock.
Once ahead United began to pass the ball with greater confidence and a sweet move begun by winger Bryn Stephens saw him deliver a fine ball into the area where Carrick Howard met it only to see his stinging shot parried by the glovesman, but fall to Baily Cochran who tucked it away.
Copplestone, to their credit, did not give up and were rewarded late on with a consolation as United ran out 2-1 winners.
Against West Exe United were able to get their passing game going early and a run out of defence by Cayleb Field saw him play a one-two with skipper Joel Knott before the ball found the back of the net.
With Ryan Dart’s wing play causing no end of problems for the opposition further goals were inevitable and three more were scored.
There were valuable contributions from Harry Kiflu Reynolds, Jack Baldwin-Meek, Karlos Bowendino, Ozzy Gilles, and Under-8 player James Adey.
United remain unbeaten this season.
