Exmouth United Under-9s enjoyed a win double over Heavitree sides in their latest Exeter and District Youth League games.
First up against Heavitree Bulls side United found themselves on the back foot early on as a neat passing move from Bulls saw them create a good chance on the edge of the box which needed a superb tackle from Harry Kiflu Reynolds to deny them. After the break United found a new gear and, with a swift counter-attack, Bryn Stephens tucked away a fine ball from skipper Joel Knott. United winger Carrick Howard traded passes with Kuba Strzalkowska prior to the latter firing just wide. With the game drawing to a close another great counter-attack saw United defender Cayleb carry the ball out of defence before passing to Ryan Dart who provided the cross for Knott to get his second and seal victory.
In the second game United bossed proceedings from start to finish scoring twelve unanswered goals against Heavitree Tigers.
Dylan Mogford, Charlie Bowen, Cayleb Field, Carrick Howard, Joel Knott and Bryn Stephens shared the goal scoring honours.
United goalkeeper Josh Austin had a fine morning displaying excellent powers of patience and concentration in keeping a brace of clean sheets.
