First up against Moors they came under intense early pressure. United stood firm and, with some swift and slick passing struck first.

Prompted by skipper Joel Knott United then added a second to go into half-time with a two-goal lead.

The second half saw much of the same as United dominated proceedings with some great football with Finley Clifford instrumental in the third score.

Carrick Howard also shone as United added two more goals to win 5-0.

In their second game against Twyford Spartans they fell behind before levelling by half-time. After the break the Tiverton side again took the lead only United to respond well and make it 2-2.

Once again Twyford edged ahead, but once more United dug deep and struck a third themselves. Only the width of an upright denied United a late winner in another thrilling encounter.
