Exmouth Town boss Richard Pears is expecting a tough game when his side travel to Plymstock on Saturday.
The fact that Town are unbeaten in 17 whilst the Plymouth side sit third bottom with just four wins all season cuts no ice with the Southern Road chief who says: “At this stage of the season every game gets that bit tougher. Factor in that, right now, everybody regards us a huge scalp in that they want to be able to say that they were the team to dent our league record, means we are in for a tough game each match day through until the seasons end.”
The Town boss has a target of points in mind to see his side crowned champions.
He says: “For me the magic figure is 72 points and there will be no resting on our laurels until we get there.”
If Town are to bank all three at Plympton on Saturday then they will sit on 50 points with a dozen games to play and so to reach the Managers target they will need to seal six wins and two draws in those last twelve outings to lift the trophy.
