Exmouth Town could well be £300 better off this coming weekend.
That’s because the only other South West Peninsula League Eastern Division team left in then Throgmorton Cup, Stoke Gabriel, contest a quarter final berth in the Throgmorton Cup at Premier Division outfit Camelford.
There’s £300 each season awarded to the Eastern Division team who go furthest in the Throgmorton Cup.
Defeat for the South Devon side in Cornwall will mean that the Southern Road side will land the sponsors prize money.
Town will discover who their last eight opponents will be in the competition this coming Friday night when the draw is made during the half time interval of the SWP League Premier Division game between Newquay and St Austell.
News of that draw will be here on the Journal website this weekend.
