With the side many claim carry the greatest threat to the Southern Road title hopes, Stoke Gabriel, being held 2-2 by Alphington, it means that Richard Pears’ men now hold an eight point lead over second placed Budleigh Salterton who have played four games more and, perhaps more significantly, a 17 point lead over Stoke Gabriel who have just two games in hand.

In terms of putting two hands firmly on the title, Town, now unbeaten in 18 games, will probably reach the winning line with six more victories in their remaining 12 games!
