Ben Clay made an instant impression as he notched on his Exmouth Town debut to see his new side to a seventh successive away win.
Clay’s second half goal secured three more points for Town in a 1-0 win at Appledore.
Since a 2-0 defeat at Liverton on October 10, Jody Bolt’s side have won seven straight away games keeping five clean sheets in the process!
With Liverton also winning it continues to look as if Town will have to settle for the runners-up spot.
However, the club have made a very positive move in the past week with the news that they are entering next season’s FA Vase competition.
This weekend Town turn their attention to the Devon Premier Cup and a game at Upton Athletic (3pm).
Make sure of your copy of the Exmouth Journal this week (out on Thursday) to read all the match reports, including a preview of Town’s big Cup tie at Upton Athletic.
