Exmouth Town managed to do what so many other South West Peninsula League side couldn’t on the second Saturday of January.
Richard Pears men played their Eastern Division game and completed the seasons double over Alphington thanks to a 5-1 score line.
What’s more the only other game played to be played in the Division gave Town a further boost as morning leaders Newton Abbot Spurs shared eight goals with visiting Totnes and Dartington.
That result, combined with another three points for Pears’ side means that Town sit on top of the table!
Make sure of your copy of the Exmouth Journal – out next on Thursday, January 17, to read a full match report and get the post-match views of Town boss Richard Pears.
Saturday, January 12 results;
