Exmouth to host last eight Bilby Cup tie after Seaton success

Exmouth have qualified for a home tie in the quarter-finals of the Devon Inter-League for the Bilby Cup, scheduled for Saturday, March 29, at the Police Social Club.

Playing their final round robin match away to Seaton, Russell Frame 64-17, Mark Rock 79-22, Carl Rowsell 61-32, Iain Callander 58-22 and Dion Newcombe 51-42 won all five frames to top Group D.

In the Exmouth League, Police Social Club drew level on points with table-toppers Number Nine B, but, have played two games more.

Their eighth success of the campaign was over East Budleigh C with Steve Spinner (53-17), Trevor Haylock (74-38) and John Evens (55-32), their successful players.

The two frames won by Rob Marsden (53-51) and Mark Auton (75-57), keep East Budleigh fifth in the table.

Police B still remain sixth, despite a 3-2 win over the Police A.

After trailing, Mark Rock (78-54) and George Webster 68 (31)-57, Ashleigh Down (70-45), Phil Rowsell (74-16) and Bob Horton (57-12) sealed their sixth win thus far.
