Young Poli, competing in the ten-and-under category, took fourth place overall behind winner Louis Davey of Cornwall in the final of the Wey Valley Tennis Centre, Weymouth, tournament.

There was also an impressive showing by another Exmouth starlet, Ben Johnson, who finished runner-up in the nine-and-under event, edged out by Devon player Sammy Broomhead by the odd set in three.

The talent and performance co-ordinator for Devon and Cornwall, Debbie Hale said: “Building on foundations laid last year and through the summer it has been great to establish some consistency, with players from Devon and Cornwall reaching the last eight in regional tours and attending National tours. It’s great to end the year on such a high.”
