Exmouth A opened their New Year account in the Devon Inter-League Snooker for the Bilby Cup with a happy and healthy away victory at Tiverton B.
Mark Rock 59(39)-3 and Carl Rowsell 62-35 of the Police Social Club set the ball rolling.
However, after the loss of frame three, the Number Nine’s Dion Newcombe 56-54 and Mark Auton of East Budleigh (48-38) returned with a 4-1 win under their belts.
This was the first of three round robin matches to be played, the remaining two are both at home, to Torbay C and Exeter A.
This is a good opener for Exmouth to qualify for the quarter-final knockout stage.
