Exmouth sailor Ian Williams had a top four finish in an international sailing competition.

Taking a break from his World Match Racing Tour schedule Williams finished fourth behind the French boat Edmond de Rothschild in the Extreme Sailing Series regatta held in Nice, France.

Williams and his crew on GAC Pinder (which includes Olympians Anna Tunnicliffe and Mark Bulkeley) sit fifth overall in the series which has one more regatta to be raced.

That is in Rio de Janiero and begins on Thursday, December 6.
