Exmouth-based Jesters were impressive 71-35 winners when they travelled to meet league newcomers QE Crediton Chargers, writes Graham Grove.
There was a piece of Jester history made in the game as Alex Wingfield scored 31 points to set a new best for a Jesters payer in match for the club. The previous record was set twelve months ago by Patrick Macwatters.
Jesters then took on another league newcomer, Exeter College, with Jesters overcoming a slow start to claim n 81-44 success.
Jesters showed some strong plays against the College side, but the performance also exposed a few aspects which will be worked on throughout the season.
Although the campaign is still young, both Jesters’ first and second teams are showing great promise.
What Jesters, as a club, are keen to do is say a big thank you to the those that have been supporting the club, attending both 1st and 2nd team matches with great enthusiasm.
Supporters are welcomes at all Jesters’ matches.
