Exmouth managed to bank nine points from their ran-hit derby game at Budleigh Salterton.
With title rivals Bovey Tracey also taking nine points from their game with visiting North Devon it means no change at the top of the Premier Division with both sides locked together on 207 points with five matches to play.
Bovey Tracey stay top as they have won one more game than the Maer men!
Trevor Anning whipped out two of the top three batsmen at Ottermouth on his way to figures of 2-12 from six overs in a rain-reduced game.
Gary Chappell was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed three wickets for 17 runs in his six overs and the other Exmouth wicket taker was Jamie Tapper (1-29 in three) as Budleigh laboured to 137-6 when the rain called an early end to proceedings after 29 overs.
It looks highly likely that this season’ title could well be decided by the outcome of the Exmouth versus Bovey Tracey meeting at the Maer ground on Saturday, August 17.
Before that titanic clash Exmouth host Exeter on Saturday and then travel to Plymouth whilst Bovey Tracey are at Torquay this weekend before hosting Budleigh Salterton the week after.
After the top two go head-to-head Exmouth will host North Devon and end the season at Cornwood whilst Bovey Tracey will host Sidmouth before finishing at Bradninch.
Sidmouth are the other side in what looks a three-team battle for the top honour, but they have what looks the hardest of the run-ins.
They travel to in-form North Devon on Saturday then host Exeter before entertaining Plymouth and then travelling to Bovey Tracey. They end their campaign at home to Budleigh Salterton on August 31.
