The Brecon Beacons

Archant

Exmouth Harriers’ chairman, Bob Keast, was in the Brecon Beacons to take part in the Mountain Trail Challenge where he opted for the 30-mile option rather then the 20-mile event, writes Dave Eveleigh.

The event is promoted as a challenge against the terrain and yourself rather than a race.

Keast is to be found in his most natural state when off-road and was out on his feet for about eight hours covering the distance.

Slow enough to be able to take in some stunning mountain scenery, but fast enough to feel a little sore and stiff the morning after!

As the picture above shows, this is a must-do challenge for anyone who might enjoy a non-competitive, but fully supported day out in the stunning Brecon Beacons.
