Exmouth Harriers were amongst the runners that were on the start line for the 2017 Wellington Monument race, writes Cathy Newman.

The race takes runners to, and round, the monument before returning to Hemyock over what is a tough course of some 10k in distance.

Exmouth Harrier Kelly Thomas was second lady over 40, finishing in a time of 49 minutes.

Harriers’ Amanda McCann and Ray Elston crossed the finishing line together, with their time clocked at 56 minutes – Ray sealing second place in the Over-70 category.

There will no doubt be plenty of Exmouth Harriers participating and helping with what is set to be the inaugural Exmouth Parkrun taking place this Saturday (December 23) with a 9am starting opposite Ocean on Exmouth seafront.
