Exeter Road Primary School, Exmouth sent a team of four players to compete in a table tennis tournament in Plymouth.
In the Devon round of the National Schools Table Tennis Championships, the Exeter Road quartet did remarkably well.
The boys played against three teams and the girls played against two teams.
The tables were smaller than the tables that the School use and so it proved to be a real challenge for the youngsters.
What’s more, with the exception of Matthew Waldron it was the first time that any of the remainder of the team, Marcus Carson, Freya Browning and Ella White had faced competition play.
During the competition the Exeter Road team won 21 games in total.
