Archant

Plymouth Marjons 5, Exe II 2

Plymouth Marjons went 1-0 up with an unfortunate own goal deflection, writes Lizzie Jane.

They added a second with a well struck shot before Exe were able to open their account with a hard fought goal from Jackie Shute at short range, giving a half time score line of 1-2.

Despite near misses from Bridie Marlow and Nicole Thackray, Exe were unable to convert their chances and Marjons added a further two goals before Hannah Jones slotted a second from four yards after an attacking short corner for Exe had been recycled.

Marjons added a fifth goal to complete the scoring.
