Exmouth Town and Budleigh Salterton both left it late to claim something from their respective South West Peninsula League Eastern Division matches on the final Saturday of October.
Town banked another three points with a single goal victory at home to Plymstock United.
Manager Richard Pears had suggested pre-match that the opposition would make life tough for his team and his words were proved very correct for it was not until the 75th minute that Town bagged the only goal of the game.
The impressive Lloyd Gardner made it and it was veteran master marksman Phil Everett who provided the finish.
Budleigh left it even later with an 88th minute equaliser to bring a point back from a visit to 10-man Exeter Civil Service.
In a cracking encounter in Exeter the Robins took the lead with a Pete Grover penalty, but then fell 2-1 down before Mark Lever levelled.
The hosts, who had a player sent off early in the second half, then took a 3-2 lead only for Grover to finish what he started, netting the sixth and final goal of the game.
The result leaves Budleigh in second place in the table, two places and one point ahead of Exmouth Town.
