Bicton College held their first BD Team Quest competition in glorious sunshine last Saturday.

Team Quest is a new competition run by British Dressage to encourage riders to participate in dressage.

The team consists of four riders, register a team name and wear team colours if they wish to.

Teams came from as far afield as North Devon and Cornwall, but the eventual winners were a local team called Four Frollicking Fillies.

The team were Sarah Harrison from Honiton, Louise Gubby from Whimple, Lisa Marie Supple from Dunkeswell and Julia Teague from Ottery St Mary.

There are two more team members waiting to join in, Shirley Wills from Awliscombe and Tracy Martin from Feniton.

The team are trained by Sarah Mawdsley who has turned the Friday coffee and bun meeting into a training session!

Team captain Sarah Harrison said: “It was a really friendly day and we all had a great time. We loved the fact we could have a dress down day. A big thank you to Carol at Bicton for putting this on. I would encourage anyone out there to put a team together and have a go!”
