The Exe Equestrian Clubs Fun Horse and Dog Show was held at Nutwell Court and once again lived up to its name, writes Collette Ashby-Crane.

Riders from all over the county took part with some contestants as young as three and four!

Classes included showing, show jumping, handy pony, fancy dress and, for the first time, a versatile pony class in which riders got the chance to show off various tricks that they and their ponies can do!

The winner of this class was Molly Leigh riding Sam who, at one stage, had young Molly standing on her back hula-hooping!

In the Dog Show there were the usual classes including fastest Bonio eater and Waggiest Tale classes.

The even tended with the ever-popular gymkhana games, with bending, trotting, ball and spoon races and much more.

The club wishes to place on record its sincere thanks to Paula and Nigel Lee for allowing them to hold the event at Nutwell Court and also to sponsors Kenniford Farm, Sportless Grooming and MET Services.

A further Fun Show takes place on August 24, but before that there is an Open Show being held at Nutwell Court on July 27.

Entries are being accepted on the day and all will be made very welcome.
