East Devon Ladies May Medal – Brailey and Hurrell victorious

Carole Brailey and Frances Hurrell both scored level par nett 74’s to beat the 66 strong field and come out on top of the May medal at East Devon Golf Club, writes Helen Chivers.

Brailey came first in the Silver Division ahead of Di Smith, Elaine Bright and Hilary Shiels who all scored nett 75. Marilyn Hobbs came fifth on nett 76.

Hurrell also won the Bronze Division by one shot from Annie Dent who shot a nett 75.

Sally Shackleton took third place from Pat Jarvis on countback as both scored nett 77’s.

Helen Hughes was close behind in fifth place with a nett 78.
