East Devon Ladies January Greensomes stableford – A win for the lady captain

The 2014 East Devon ladies’ captain Elaine Whitehead and her partner Ali Miller won a closely fought January Greensomes competition last week, writes Helen Chivers.

Whitehead and Miller scored a level par 36 points, with their better back nine putting them ahead of second placed Eilidh Cameron and Nina Hawkins and Marilyn Hobbs and Jo Goldsworthy in third.

The pairing of Suzanne Reed and Marilyn Gerrard came forth with 32 points.

Fifth place was taken by Shirley Horsburgh and Lisa Tinsley in fifth with 31 points.
