East Devon Ladies - Hawkins is Vets Champion 2014

Nina Hawkins is the 2014 veterans champion at East Devon Golf Club, writes Helen Chivers.

Hawkins beat the 44 strong field to claim the title and lift the Caldwell Scratch Trophy with a gross 87 last Tuesday.

Maureen Reynolds claimed the nett prize, the Freeman Handicap Trophy, with her level par nett 74.

In the scratch competition Hawkins was one shot clear of Sue Fowler (gross 88), with Hilary Greenaway third with a gross 89.

Sue Owen-Pawson claimed fourth place on countback from Doreen Cummins as both carded gross 91.

Reynolds claimed the handicap trophy on countback from Sue Owen-Pawson, Hilary Greenaway and Doreen Cummins. Nina Hawkins secured fifth spot with a nett 75.
