The Exmouth CS Dynamos have enjoyed a good season riding cyclo-cross with eight riders taking part in at least one event, writes Andy Waite.
Starting with the Under-14s, Oscar Devine-Wright showed some good potential by being placed third and fifth in the two rounds he entered.
In the Under-16s Alfie Devine-Wright matched this with a second and third in the two rounds he rode in.
Elliot Gibbons also rode in two events claiming one victory and one second spot.
The star rider in the Under-16 section was Ryan Dunn, making good use of one of the Dynamos cross bikes, he recorded five triumphs and three second places only missing out in the last round in Devonport by puncturing on the first lap!
This set of results was good enough for Ryan to lift the Trophy as the Under-16 winner of the SW Cyclo-cross League.
In the junior category Charlie McFadzean ran away with the title, again on a Dynamo cross bike, with half-a-dozen wins, three second placed and one third finish which saw him lift the trophy as winner of the junior SW Cyclocross league.
Three senior riders also took part in some of the rounds. Nigel Orpin scored points in every round he rode as did veterans Ian Bowden and Steve Medlock both riding cross for the first time and on mountain bikes.
