Shepherd named Topsham St James CC Colt of the Year for 2012

The Topsham St James Colts Presentation Evening took place in the clubhouse at Bonfire Field.

There were a large number of children present, all of whom were given a medal to show that they played for and, or trained at the club in 2012.

There were also three Awards in each of the U10s, U12s, U13s, U14s and Girls Section - Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Coach’s Award.

The top honour of Topsham St James Colt of the Year was won by young Jim Shepherd and he was presented with the Govier Trophy by club patron Percy Govier.

As well as the main award young Shepherd also landed the Under-13 batting award whilst in that age group, Tom Sage (bowling) and Sam Tomas (coaches award) were the other individual’s honoured.

In the Under-13 section the winners were, Charlie Goodfellow (batting), Leon Ryder-Potter (bowling) and the coaches award went to Jack Telford.

In the Under-12 section Matthew Pring landed the batting award, Jay Warren picked up the honour for bowling and Oliver Cox was named the coaches top player.

In the Saints’ girls section Annie McShane won the batting award, Lucy Harding picked up the bowling honour whilst Sophia Pym was named Coaches award winner.

In the Under-10 Pairs’ category Harry Meadows was named best batsman, Alex Rowe landed the bowling award, Luca Pym picked up the honour of best all-rounder and the coaches award went to Seth Richold.
