Exmouth 2nd XI were 76 run winners when they entertained Sandford at a sun-kissed Maer Ground.

Donavan Robinson top scored with 69 and Fin Marks provided the ‘best of the rest’ with a knock of 30 as the home side closed on 206-8 after their 45 overs.

The visitors made a confident start and were looking good at 48 without loss in the ninth over when Scott Butler made the break through.

It was Butler who claimed the second wicket with the reply on 63 and thereafter wickets fell at regular intervals with the final one falling in the 36th over with the total on 130.

The Exmouth third eleven were denied action when scheduled opponents Feniton 2nds were unable to raise a side.

Last Friday night there was another fantastic turn out for the colts coaching session at the Maer ground with over 100 youngsters getting coaching.

If you would like your child involved why not take a walk down to the cub this Friday. The bar will be open and visitors are always made very welcome.
