Exmouth 2nds head to Chardstock on Saturday (September 14) looking to claim the 14 points that will see them crowned champions of the D Division East.

The Maer men won a 13th game in 17 outings, defeating visiting Upottery by 81 runs.

Batting first, the Maer men were led to a close of 225-6 by an excellent innings from Harrison Folland who followed his 54 the week before against Sandford 2nds with a knock of 94.

James Horler (40) and Luke Davies (36) were the other main contributors with the bat.

After tea is was Alex Craib who took the bowling honours, claiming 4-19 as Upottery were bowled out for 144. Sean Day also chipped in with his bowling return being 2-17.

Exmouth 2nds top the table by seven points from Heathcoat II who complete their campaign on Saturday at Upottery. Clearly Exmouth only need to match what Heathcoat do in terms of banking sufficient points to land the title, but wining their game at Chardstock will make sure they can celebrate at stumps on Saturday evening.
