Archant

Clyst St George bagged a first win of the D Division season and climbed off the foot of the table after a 29-run victory over Honiton at Bohea Field.

It was Chris Ferro once again taking charge of things for Clyst as he top scored with another half century.

Ferro struck 65 to guide his side to a close of 199-9.

That proved beyond a Honiton outfit who were bowled out 170 thanks to a fivefer fro Chris Cook (5-22).

The 19-point haul for Clyst lifts them out of the bottom two with Honiton now joining basement side Feniton in the relegation berths as the season reaches the one-third mark of the season.

On Saturday Clyst St George will be looking for more of the same when they make the short trip to Feniton and a second success of the term could see the Bohea Field men move into the top half of the table!
