Exmouth crowned South West Regional Twenty20 champions on super Sunday at Sidmouth

Exmouth are through to the last 16 nationally of the ECB Twenty20 Cup after winning the Regional Finals Day at Sidmouth.

In their semi-final the Maer men defeated Cornish side St Just and then they saw off Somerset champions Taunton St Andrew in the final.

Batting first Exmouth made 177-5 and then bowled the Somerset side out for 142.

They are now one more Finals day victory away from appearing in front of the television cameras which will be present at the Wantage Road ground of Northampton CC which this year stage then national finals day next month.

There’ll be a full round up of a glorious day for the Maer men in the Exmouth Journal – out next on Thursday, August 21.
