The Budleigh CC Community League was once again blessed with glorious sunshine on Sunday enabling three keenly contested games to be completed, writes Ian Tyrell.

The Feathers secured victory against the Taverners, the BSCC Youth Academy had a thumping 105-run victory against the Gentlemen and a belligerent unbeaten 30 from captain Rick Mejzner helped the Doctors secure their place at Finals Day with victory against Exmouth Rugby.

Despite defeat in their last three games, Exmouth Rugby are guaranteed to finish in fourth place and take their place at Finals Day, irrespective of the results of the final round of games, due to their head-to-head record against both the Withy Dads and the Feathers.

The final round of games takes place this Sunday to decide which one of the BSCC Youth or the Robins will top the table.

Fixtures for Sunday (August 10): Withy Dads v Taverners (10.30), Robins v Gentlemen (1.30), Feathers v BSCC Youth (4.30).

The Community League Finals Day takes place on Sunday, August 24, with the first semi-final at 10.30.
