Budleigh Under-10s were 40-run winners when they met Ottery St Mary B in a Bradleys East Devon Youth League game.
Budleigh bowled first with steely determination and restricted the opposition to a less than par score.
Kieran Long and Jack Garner set the standard with fine opening spells. Finlay Cotton then opened his Budleigh account for the club making an impressive debut.
The bowling duties were closed out by Alice Parker and Ellie Baker who restricted Ottery to a net one run total!
The successful run chase was led by the first four Ottermouth youngsters who contributed a half century of runs between them. Harvey Shipton slammed 22 off just five ball before Finlay Aust and Connor Chugg then consolidated things in what were their first outings for the team.
