Budleigh 2nd skipper Lloyd White leads side to big win at Barton

PUBLISHED: 12:28 07 August 2014

Budleigh 2nds now hold a 13-point lead over third placed Ottery St Mary in the race to bag one of two A Division 2nd XI promotion berths.

Victory at Barton was down, in the main, to a superb all-round contribution from skipper Lloyd White.

He first hit a magnificent 101 to underpin his team’s offering of 175.

White the picked up three wickets for 34 runs as the home side were bowled out for 71.

With four to play Budleigh go to Plymstock on Saturday knowing a win will effectively end the bid by one of the other challengers for that coveted promotion spot.
