A squad of twenty departed the Imperial ground at 7.15am!

The young Cockles were drawn in a pool with Melksham, Bath and Old Redcliffians, winning two games and losing one.

That was good enough to take them into the quarter finals where they faced a Wellington team who had beaten them in the same competition when it was played last season at Exeter Chiefs.

The Cockles exacted sweet revenge with a clinically executed display by the forwards that allowed Exmouth to dictate the pace and flow and constant pressure and fine tackling by the backs eventually forced the error allowing the Cockles to bag a single try success.

In the semi-final they met Chippenham who narrowly edged them out by a single try and then went on to land the trophy.

All of the players put in a tremendous amount for the Cockles on the day leaving their coaches (and the many supporters who were backing them ) mighty proud of their efforts.

Squad (tries scored are shown in brackets); Joseph Oates, Ethan Langson-Justice (1), Max McConaghy, Conner Powell, Matt Seagar (1), Maddie Buckley, Jack Silvester (1), Hugo Flinn, Lawrence Knight, Will Tidball (2), Ollie Toomey (2), Josh Wibberley, Zach Higginson, Richard Hall, Callum Cross, Luke Hughes, Tom Talyor-Adey, Tom Cooke (1), Brad Branton, Jake Devine and Ieuan Kidd.

This weekend the team entertain Exeter Saracens.
