A Quiz night at Exmouth RFC saw more than £400 raised for charity, writes Conrad Sutcliffe.
The beneficiaries were the injured Players Foundation, a cause Exmouth adopted after staging a collection on behalf of it at the Devon County Cup final last May.
Exmouth director of rugby Chris Wright said: “The IPF does a terrific job helping players that are unlucky enough to be seriously hurt playing rugby and it was great to stage an event to support their work. It was also very encouraging to see a sprinkling of new faces at the club for the quiz and we hope they had a good night with us.”
The Cockles have been raising money for the charity since the start of the season through clubhouse raffles’ and the running total so far exceeds £600.
