Brixington Blues Under-9s travelled with a depleted side for Exeter Youth League game against Feniton and Ottery St Mary.
In difficult conditions with driving rain and a heavy underfoot surface, the Blues started by taking on Feniton.
Stand-in keeper Thomas Humphry was kept busy and covered himself in glory, and mud, making a number of fine saves.
He was also supported by some solid defending, particularly from Owen Shaw and Luke Buck and the game finished without a goal at either end.
In the second game the Blues took on Ottery St Mary and it was very noticeable in this encounter that they got much better service through to their strikers. J
ordan Hocking and Max Rickard were at the centre of much of then positive Blues play whilst Will White was in real form leading the line as he cracked home a four goal haul as Blues secured a 4-0 victory.
These two games were ideal preparation for the Blues boys who have an important date this coming Saturday when they play their League Cup quarter final against
putting in tireless work. With better possession Will White up front was in lethal form, grabbing all four goals in a 4 0 win.
Overall a thoroughly satisfying performance from the whole team, which sets them up nicely for their cup quarter final next week.
