Busy time for Bond in Budleigh club competitions

PUBLISHED: 12:05 28 August 2014 | UPDATED: 12:05 28 August 2014

Ladies this week have been busy playing the final stages of the internal club competitions.

It looks like being a very busy finals week end over Saturday and Sunday, September 6 and 7 for Diane Dixon who will contest no fewer than four finals.

The championship will be between Mo Bond and Diane who will be defending her title from last season.

The Ladies Pairs is between Jill Pond with Jennie Derbyshire and Eileen Burston with Diane Dixon. The three-wood competition will again see Mo Bond playing, but this time against Chris Loman. Joan Cowing will play Diane in the two-wood, Joan is also waiting to see who her opponent will be in the final of the Novice Otter Cup as the semi final between Jacqui Bishop and Ann Vincent still has to be played.

In the handicap Chris Loman is waiting for her opponent as Jennie Derbyshire and Joan Cowing have their semi still to play.

The fourth event that will see Diane Dixon playing is the Club Open singles in which she will play Leighton Burston.

We wish all the competitors good luck for the Finals and thanks from the competition organisers for their co-operation in playing the rounds on time.
