Budleigh said goodbye to the Francis Clark Devon League Premier Division with a final day 79-run defeat at the hands of Sidmouth.
The Fortfield side, who went into the game needing to bank a maximum 22 points to keep alive their slim title hopes, batted first and powered their way to an imposing 365-5 declared after 45 overs.
Skipper Joel Murphy bagged a brace of wickets for 69 runs from his eight overs and there was a wicket each for Matt Plowman (1-69) and James Burke (1-93).
Bob Dawson (63) and Seb Langridge (127) put on 118 for the first wicket.
However, only number three bat Burke (41), number eight Lloyd Murrin and number ten skipper Murphy (26no) registered double figures as the reply floundered on 310-8 at the conclusion of the 50 overs.
Budleigh finish bottom of the top flight table and will be joined next season in the A Division by Bradninch who were the other relegated side.
Next summer the Ottermouth men will come up against Lewdown and Chudleigh, promoted from the B Division and as well as Plympton, Paignton, Barton, Brixham, Abbotskerswell and Hatherleigh, who all played in the second tier this past season.
